We have identified 8 top students in the public school Sao Luiz do Quitunde, Brazil, just north of Maceio. These 8 come from very poor circumstances. Due to this and the lack of quality in the public school system there is no chance at a university education. Through donations, Kaiizen is sponsoring their education in a private school that will prepare them for the entrance exam into a university. With this new opportunity they not only have a chance at a university education, but they now have a chance to identify themselves by something other than their economic circumstances. They now have the door opened to an entirely new world of opportunity! These kids will be the future professionals, doctors, nurses, engineers, teachers and leaders in Brazil!

This program has already made a noticeable difference in their lives. They are dreaming big (doctors, teachers, etc.) and have lent service in their community. In being helped, they have recognized the need to help others. We love the kids and through a volunteer in Brazil, we are able to monitor their progress on a regular basis. We enjoy visiting them once a year to offer encouragement, meet with their parents, set expectations, and get them prepared for the coming year.
